About Us
COMPANY OVERVIEW
BioGreen Packaging is an industry leader in providing bags and films for the collection of organic waste for composting and Biodegradable plastics for landfill sites. Our mission is to keep organic waste from ever entering a landfill. Unlike regular plastic bags, BioGreen bags are made by adding biodegradable additives to conventional plastic to make them biodegradable. Micro-organisms that live in our soils then eat the biodegradable plastic leaving organic matter like water, CO2, CH4, and HUMUS. Because of this, our bags can be readily used for composting along with organic waste at municipal composting facilities. BioGreen Packaging provides the world’s best biodegradable Plastic and compostable plastics which adheres to all International and Indian standards of testing for biodegradable plastics. We use Innovative technology to manufacture our Biodegradable Plastic Products. Bags manufactured by BioGreen vanish in Landfill and even in sewage sludge after their useful life. We are a company of dedicated employees who are fully committed to ONLY producing certified compostable and biodegradable bags and films.
The founder of BioGreen Packaging, Subash Puri, believes strongly that certified compostable and Biodegradable bags and films would soon become a necessary and viable part of solving food waste separation issues as “Zero Waste” initiatives expanded across the country.
Over the years, the BioGreen brand name has become synonymous with high-quality certified biodegradable/compostable bags with consumers and businesses across the country. We work closely with community governments to establish food waste separation programs and help educate consumers on the benefits of keeping food waste items from entering landfills. BioGreen bags play an important part in the collection of organic waste for composting. Our products enable the diversion of waste from landfill by being either biodegradable or compostable.

Every product manufactured undergoes stringent testing and validations before it is introduced and included in our product range. We enlist the help of various top rated third party organisations for checking and re-checking our promise to our customers. DETAILS OF INDUSTRY, ACADEMIC, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES ENGAGED IN DEVELOPMENT AND PRODUCTION OF PLASTIC ALTERNATIVES COLLABORATIVELY
Research and development efforts over some time have resulted in potential polyolefins based biodegradable plastics, which also fulfil necessary functional criteria to maintain product integrity. The following companies are continuously engaged in the research and development of such aerobic or anaerobic biodegradable products in collaboration with Indian/International institutions.
- Biogreen Packaging Pvt Ltd, Pune
- Stenta Group of Companies, Malaysia
- Polymateria, UK
The testing of biodegradable products as developed by them is in progress by IS in Indian laboratories. The tests have progressed to an advanced stage, and the results are highly encouraging. These should be encouraged for adoption at the earliest Technology transfer, scale-up and commercialization of the process development are in the pipeline in collaboration.
